Cycling and trekking is by far the best way to explore and see stunning Angkor and its surroundings. This package tour begins with a ride around the lovely country side of Siem Reap. Cycle to incredible Angkor Wat and explore the surrounding relics such as Terrace of Elephants and Leper King. Visit Angkor Thom, The ancient capital. Don’t forget Bayon with its incredible sculptures. Visit other fabulous places including Phnom Kulen, Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei, Wat Roun, Phnom Bok and Tonle Sap Lake for a boat trip. Stay overnight at a camp site in a Wat and enjoy delicious meals along the way.

Day 1. Arrive Siem Reap – Cycling 17km bike

You will be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend some free time to freshen up or relax. In the afternoon we will set off from your hotel on a cycling tour of the surrounding countryside of Siem Reap. You will travel along beautiful country roads surrounded by the daily life of the local people, temples and swaying palms. Visit the Village of Chreav on route to Tonle Sap Lake, South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Take a break at ancient Wat Athvea and explore this amazing place. Make your way to Phnom Krom which sits on top of one of the best vantage points overlooking Tonle Sap Lake. Watch an unforgettable sunset. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner tonight will introduce you to Khmer Cuisine at The Sugar Palm, served at a delightful traditional Khmer house in a lovely setting. Overnight in Siem Reap.


Day 2. Angkor Trekking 10km trek

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the starting point of your trek. You will head off to our 1st stop, trekking through dense jungle to the amazing Angkor Wat. Explore this ancient place and this is a unique photo opportunity. After Angkor Wat, we will walk from temple to temple and see all the major attraction temples and ruins in the area. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, trek to the last ancient capital of the Great Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, surrounded by an 8 meter high wall. Enter the city through the ancient South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and four giant faces. On each side of the entrance path a row of 54 gods or demons is holding the sacred Naga snake. Continue on to Bayon Temple along winding sandy trails that lead you through the dense jungle canopy. Bayon is well-known for its 54 towers with enigmatic faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are next. Return to your hotel to freshen up. Dinner tonight is a mouth-watering barbecue at the well known Mr. Grill restaurant. Overnight htoel in Siem Reap.


Day 3. Siem Reap – Phnom Kulen – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap 35km trek/15km bike

Following breakfast at your hotel, transfer through luscious rice fields and local villages to Phnom Kulen. At the peak of Phnom Kulen, you will see stone carvings in a riverbed, a large reclining Buddha numerous pagodas. Take a dip under a waterfall. Next, trek to Svay Leu Pagoda through the jungle. From here we cycle along quiet roads to Beng Mealea. We will have lunch here. Discover the overgrown temple, undiscovered for centuries, Beng Mealea has only recently been made accessible and remains un-restored. Explore the place on a trek through the jungle ruins and beyond. Transfer back to Siem Reap. Dinner will be in the contemporary setting of Nest Angkor Restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.


Day 4. Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Wat Roun 55km bike

Following your breakfast, you will go on an easy bike tour to Banteay Srei. Along the way get to know the local people and their way of life. See how rice paper is made and try palm wine and palm sugar products. Next stop is the Landmine Museum which practices mine awareness. The museum serves also as a rescue center for a number of landmine amputees. Now we go to the charming Banteay Srey Temple. Banteay Srey is unique in that it is constructed of pink sandstone, which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the relaxed setting of Banteay Srei Pagoda. Cycle to Wat Roun, a traditional village that is among the most scenic in Cambodia, set amongst rice fields. This evening, a Khmer BBQ dinner will be served at the camp, which you can enjoy in comfortable and stylish sitting areas. Overnight in a tented camp at Wat Roun, which is a clean and safe place on the premises the Wat.


Day 5. Wat Roun – Phnom Bok – Tonle Sap – Siem Reap 5km bike/10km trek

Wake up early to watch the local monks perform their daily rituals. Get to know and chat with them. Breakfast at the camp. Next, take a short bike trip to Phnom Bok Hill. Walk downhill to the temple of Banteay Samre, where you will enjoy a relaxing lunch break. After lunch, ride through the village and take a short trek to the top for magnificent views. Next a military style jeep will take you on a journey to Tonle Sap Lake, South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Board a local boat and visit Kampong Phluck, a village where you will see houses on stilts that are submerged when Tonlé Sap Lake extends. (Seasonal). Tonight, enjoy a Khmer dinner at Viroth’s, a modern and relaxed restaurant set in a quiet garden. Overnight in Siem Reap.


Day 6. Siem Reap – Departure

Enjoy today to explore Siem Reap or shop at your own pace, before your transfer for departure. End of Angkor Cycling / Trekking Tour.
