While you are fed up with luxurious areas or chaos of Ho Chi Minh City, a tour to Cat Tien National Park – Ta Lai Long House 3 days 2 nights will absolutely be a perfect choice. It will indeed be wonderful to go trekking through the jungle for exploring intact natural landscapes as well as the peaceful wildlife. During the trip, there are lots of extremely exciting things to experience, ranging from Bau Sau (Crocodile Lake), ancient cedars, Dao Tien (Monkey Island), to kayaking, cycling, and meeting ethnic people at Tai Lai Commune.
Day 1. HO CHI MINH CITY – CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK ( Meals included: Lunch – Dinner )
8:30am Pick up at your hotel and leave Ho Chi Minh City for Cat Tien National Park. Have lunch at the local restaurant.
Upon arrival at the National Park, take a 10km drive and 5km trek through the jungle to Bau Sau (Crocodile Lake). Check in. In the afternoon, visit Bau Sau, take an opportunity to contemplate the majestic beauty of ancient cedars, and enjoy the scenery tops which are supposed to be the poetic and lyrical blend Bau Sau water garden creates.
Overnight in Bau Sau. (Accommodation is basically the rangers’ outpost with some basic rooms (shared shower/toilet and no air con or fan).
Day 2. NAM CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK TREKKING ( Meals included: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner )
Breakfast will be served by the rangers in the forest. Check out. Start trekking into the rainforest. Have lunch.
Visit Dao Tien (Monkey Island) which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of rescue primates & loris from the illegal wildlife trade. Founded by the Endangered Asian Species Trust (EAST) in collaboration with Monkey World in the UK & with the support of Cat Tien National Park, Dao Tien is where the volunteers nurse the rescued animals to good health and then release them back into the wild.
Lunch will be served at the restaurant in the National Park.
In the afternoon, take a 12km drive to Ta Lai village. It’s time to relax and enjoy your night at Ta Lai Long house which was built under a project, funded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), with a surprisingly comfortable and homely experience.
Day 3. NAM CAT TIEN VILLAGE CYCLING ( Meals included: Breakfast – Lunch )
Wake up in the early morning to enjoy fresh air and bird singing around. From the stunning location of Ta Lai Long House you will take a chance of overlooking the lake, go kayaking and swimming in the lake.
Have breakfast at Ta Lai Long House.
Take a cycling trip around the village, and step into the Stieng and Ma ethnic minority village whose inhabitants used to live in Cat Tien national park before relocating to Ta Lai commune for the national park conservation project.
For those who love to enjoy the peaceful time, the hammock is very good to relax and get the great view of surrounding landscapes.
Have lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City. End the trip.
